ANTHE 2011 Details: Exam Stage-II

Stage-II (Mains & Interview)

Exam Date: 25th December 2011 (Sunday)
Timings: 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Timings for Personal Interview: 12:15 P.M. onwards

Date of Announcement of Final Result (After Stage-II) 8th January, 2012 (Sunday)

The result shall be displayed on our website, www.aakash.ac.in, mentioning the names of 800 students who shall be offered free* Two Years Classroom Coaching at any Centre of Aakash - All Over India. A student must score at least 60% marks in Stage-II, in addition to his/her ranking in Top 800 to qualify for the scholarship (75% i.e. 600 for IIT-JEE & 25% i.e. 200 for Medical Aspirants).
However, if the number of students (securing 60% marks or more) in Stage-II is less than 800, in such a situation the list will be taken out for only those students who fulfill the eligibility criteria of 60% marks or more and not for 800 students.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Pattern of Test (Stage-II)

60 MCQs: 15 (Data Interpretation), 25 (Science) & 20 (Maths).
Duration: 1 hour.
Total Marks: 240
Negative Marking: 1/4
After the Test, there shall be a Personal Interview round.

Real numbers, Polynomials, Statistics (Mean, median, mode, Histograms and Ogives), Trigonometric Ratios and Identities, Similarity & Congruence of Triangles - Midpoint Theorem, Pythagoras' theorem Basics of Geometry - Lines, Angles, Parallel Lines, Shapes, Circles, Basics of Quadrilaterals Mensuration - Area and Perimeter of Triangles, Circles and Surface Area & Volume of Cubes, Cuboids, Sphere, Hemispheres, Right circular cylinder and Cones Simple & Compound Interest, Profit & Loss Pair of Linear Equations

Physics
Electricity, Magnetism Motion - Distance, Displacement, Velocity, Acceleration, Linear Motion, Uniform Circular Motion Force and Newton's Laws of Motion, Gravitation and Floatation, Work, Energy and Power, Light - Reflection and Refraction, Sound

Chemistry

ANTHE 2011 Details: Exam Stage-I

Exam Date: 27th November 2011 (Sunday)
Timings: Paper-I: 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Paper-II : 01:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M.
Date of Declaration of Result: 10th December, 2011 (Saturday)

The result shall be displayed on our website, www.aakash.ac.in, mentioning the names of 3200 students (2400 seats (75%) for IIT-JEE & 800 (25%) for Medical Aspirants) who shall qualify to appear in Stage II Exam. A student must score at least 60% marks in Stage-I, in addition to his/her ranking in Top 3200, in order to qualify to appear for Stage-II.

However, if the number of students (securing 60% marks or more) in Stage-I is less than 3200, in such a situation the list will be taken out for only those students who fulfill the eligibility criteria of 60% marks or more and not for 3200 students.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Pattern of Test (Stage-I)

Paper-I: 60 MCQs: 30 (Maths), 10 (Physics), 10 (Chemistry) & 10 (Biology).
Duration: 1 hour.
Total Marks: 240.
Paper-II: 60 MCQs: 35 (Mental Ability) & 25 (General Knowledge)
Duration: 1 hour.
Total Marks: 240.
There is no negative marking in Stage-I.
